Nirmala Sitharaman Visits Swami Vivekananda Vidya Mandir in Silvassa

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited Swami Vivekananda Vidya Mandir at Zanda Chowk in Silvassa, a campus recognized as one of the largest government school campuses in India with nearly 11,000 students.

The visit highlighted the institution’s growing reputation as a modern educational hub in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. During the interaction, the school administration and students showcased various academic facilities and learning initiatives available on campus.

The school has integrated interactive smart boards across classrooms to improve the teaching and learning experience. These digital classrooms are designed to create a more engaging and technology-driven educational environment for students.

Apart from smart classrooms, the campus also includes science laboratories, computer labs and several other academic facilities that support practical learning and skill development. The infrastructure reflects a strong focus on combining traditional education with modern technology-based learning systems.

Students welcomed the visiting dignitaries during the campus tour, while officials reviewed different aspects of the institution’s educational ecosystem and infrastructure development.

Swami Vivekananda Vidya Mandir has emerged as a major center for school education in the region and continues to play an important role in providing accessible and quality education to thousands of students in Silvassa and nearby areas.
